First off, the Sakamoto / Fennesz show was amazing. Very patient music, but truly rewarding. And now is as good a time as any to introduce one of my new favorite blogs - Root Blog. The blog's mantra is "frequent drool" and the topic is all audio that is dense, droney, delicate, or difficult. A series of posts are dedicated to the music of Morton Feldman with gratuitous mp3s supplied. Another post is dedicated to videos of mythical 90s hardcore. And the blog is not without a sense of humor, posting Ice Cube videos and the re-edit of the Shining as a light summer comedy. Bookmark this blog.

I've always thought the shining sounded like such a bright little film.
